Downtime

Downtime

It seems like this spring semester has been full of exams, clinicals, simulations and part time jobs. BUT, on the rare occasion that there is a spare moment of downtime, we like to make the most of it. This past weekend for example, was the first time in several months my friends and I have not been glued to a chair studying for pharm, adult health, research etc. so we decided to celebrate with the Pedal Mill in Fells Point and a Cinco de Mayo fiesta!

What is a pedal mill? An excellent way to celebrate a friends birthday, an entertaining method of transportation between your favorite bars, and a calorie burner to counteract your extracurriculars that night! They pick you up at Ale Mary’s in Fells Point and you literally pedal your way to the locations you picked out for the night. It’s like a giant, man powered dance party going down the street!

For hours of entertainment, cars honking at you for slowing up traffic, and a bit of a spin workout in your high heels, check out The Charm City Pedal Mill. I haven’t laughed that much in a long time….

As for Cinco de Mayo, it’s FINALLY warming up here in Baltimore and we were able to have an outdoor party at a friend’s house nearby complete with guacamole, salsa, margaritas, and a candy filled pinata! Cha cha cha!!!

As Dr. Kozachick reminds us every week….it’s very important to have some fun and get a good dose of Vitamin D! So when you get the chance, go for it!!!
